Second and Third Degrees: 

Further your Knighthood by taking your Second & Third degree.
  

 If you are interested call either Mike Amad (846-0200) or Bruce Bange (846-6388)

Your Transportation is provided.  Degrees normally begin at 1:00 pm and are finished by 4:30 with a light meal provided afterward. There is no cost to you.   Depending on the location we will meet at the rectory parking lot and leave to be there by 12:30.

The next scheduled 2nd & 3rd degree is September 12 at St. Francis of Assissi.  It won't get any closer than this. Many times the degrees are a distance away from St. Gin up to north St. Louis or out in Washington

For all new members: you can take your next degree as soon as you want, scheduling permitting. 
. If you want to take your fourth degree which will be in March 5th, 2011, it has to be 6 months after you take your first degree.

Blood Drive

One pint saves up to 4 lives!!!!

The next blood drive is on August 15, 2010   in the school cafeteria.  There will be 6 blood drives in 2010 and 2011.  

If you can work for a hour or so before or after the mass you attend, it would be great.  Better still come and give the gift that keeps on giving.   The blood supply is always short.  So please try to give if you can.

Our last drive in  netted about 32 pints which is a considerable improvement. Thanks to all Knights who participated and worked.  Please continue to do so at future drives. The numbers are getting larger because of YOU

Meeting highlights:

• Frank (Dino) Busalachi's form 100 was read and approved by the council..
   

•  The 2010-2011 Fraternal Calendar was distributed
   

• Thanks to all who attended the annual dinner and installation.  We had over 60 participate.  The next installation and dinner will be Friday, June 3rd, 2011 at 6:30 pm at the St. Francis K of C hall on Telegraph.  Lukasek will be the caterer.
   

•  $350 was approved by the officers to spend for a full page ad in the Pro-Life convention booklet.
   

• We watched a video on the Knights of Columbus role with Cardinal Glennon Hospital.
   

• John Missey is ordering Shirts for all those interested.  Please give him a call if you would like to order one for $15 in the color of your choosing.
   

FRATERNITY

Pro-Life Mass and Prayer Vigil   

Third Saturday of the Month

The Archdiocesan Pro-Life Committee sponsors a Mass and Prayer Vigil on the third Saturday of every month at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis (Lindell & Newstead, in the Central West End).  Entitled ‘Helpers of God’s Precious Infants’, the Mass begins at 8:00am and is followed by exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.  Immediately thereafter the rosary procession/witness begins and proceeds from the Cathedral to the Planned Parenthood Abortion facility. 

My Brother Knights all;  This is a very effective way to serve God, His Church, and the K of C in support of the Sanctity of Human Life at ALL STAGES.  This public, prayerful witness is an affirmation to Life and a visible sign against the pervading culture of death in our society

Meetings:

Monthly fourth degree meetings of the St. Louis Assembly held are on the second Wednesday of each month  at Cardinal Rigali Center at 8:00 p.m.
