CHARITY

 The Treasurer reported:

We made a profit of $7500 on the fish frys and $11,961 have been received on the basketball tourney.

The Financial Secretary reported we have 18 members who have not paid their 2008 dues.

A Poor Clare capital drive is being conducted for the expansion of their facilities.  There is a Trivia night being held on June 7th for this purpose.  We are discussing a possible donation as well.  This has been turned over to the charity committee for further consideration.

Proposal Passed
to donate $1000 to the school to help defray the cost of the school promotional pamphlet by the general membership.

Al Nadolny is creating a new garden area at the entrance to school dedicated to  Sr. JoDonna.  He is looking for help for the next two Saturdays.  If you can help, please call Al at 846-2365

Blood Drive

The next blood drive is June 16th  If you can work for a hour or so before or after the mass you attend, that would be great.  Better still come and give the gift that keeps on giving.   The blood supply is always short.  So please try to give if you can

Our last drive in March netted about 35 pints.

FRATERNITY

Pro-Life Mass and Prayer Vigil

Third Saturday of the Month

The Archdiocesan Pro-Life Committee sponsors a Mass and Prayer Vigil on the third Saturday of every month at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis (Lindell & Newstead, in the Central West End).  Entitled ‘Helpers of God’s Precious Infants’, the Mass begins at 8:00am and is followed by exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.  Immediately thereafter the rosary procession/witness begins and proceeds from the Cathedral to the Planned Parenthood Abortion facility.

My Brother Knights all;  This is a very effective way to serve God, His Church, and the K of C in support of the Sanctity of Human Life at ALL STAGES.  This public, prayerful witness is an affirmation to Life and a visible sign against the pervading culture of death in our society

Knight of the Month

Congratulations to Ric Armbruster who was selected as Knight of the Month. for the fabulous job he did with the fish fry.

For the Good of the Order

Please pray for the following brothers: Keith Milson, Brad Basler and John Humm.  They are either having surgery shortly or are now recovering.  We pray for a speedy recovery for each of them.
